DIVA CROSSOVERS
Even a classical diva of the highest artistic standards can't resist reaching out to a bigger audience. It's called crossing over. This is how our prima donna expands her devoted family of fans beyond the snobby operaphiles. All those regular folks are out there just waiting to adore her, but they are intimidated by those serious old composers, crazy plots, and characters with unpronounceable names. They need a different way in -- popular standards, folk songs, musical theater, holiday carols, hymns, jazz, anything like that will do. While crossing over, generally speaking, musical integrity is irrelevant and the album covers are fabulous!
