DESIGN CLASSICS
In the mid-20th Century, society and the world of business embraced the power of graphic design to shape opinions, to move and motivate people. This coincided with the rise of the LP record album as the primary method of delivering music. The one-foot-square canvas became a cultural force. Design trends and regional styles emerged as art directors at different labels experimented with various schools of design thought. They used sophisticated design techniques to appeal to sophisticated opera-goers, all in the service of presenting the diva and her music.
